Ways To Avoid Getting Sick During Flu Season

Of course with everything that is going on we know that we have to be more aware of our health and cleaning regimes so that we can keep ourselves safe and also protect others from becoming sick.

Here are ways you can be more mindful during this time (and after).

Wash Your Hands More Than You Normally Do

Most people are probably used to only washing their hands before they eat, before they cook, if something is on their hands, or after they do their restroom business, however, we need to be washing our hands more often than what is normal to us. It is not enough anymore to do the bare minimum when it comes to hand washing. Make sure you are washing for twenty seconds and very often.

Sanitize Everything As Much As You Can

Wipe everything down as often as you can. All the things you touch on the regular should be wiped off or sprayed down with a disinfectant. These things include doorknobs, cellphones, remote controls, microwave buttons, refrigerator handles, and any and everything you can think of and touch.

Cover Your Cough & Sneeze

When you go out to get groceries or other household items please be mindful of others and cover your cough or sneeze by using your arm. Also if you feel like you have to cough or sneeze step away from people and do so while covering it up.

Keep Your Hands To Yourself

We know that we have to wash our hands but we also should not be touching things if it is not necessary. When you are out shopping at the stores do not pick anything up unless you absolutely need to and when you are opening doors use paper towels or gloves to avoid directly touching doorknobs and handles. Even in your home be mindful of the doorknobs and handles.
