Is all the hype surrounding apple cider vinegar worth it?
Lately, everyone has been drinking apple cider vinegar because they want to lose weight or improve their digestive system. I was hesitant to try it because I don't jump on every new health trend that comes out. I understand that everyone's body is different and what may work for one person may not work for another. I started doing research because I did not think drinking vinegar every day could be healthy for you, you're basically burning up your insides with all that acid. After completing my research I learned you have to dilute the liquid when you drink it. I couldn't understand why some people were drinking a shot of it every day without diluting it with water.
One morning I decided to try it in my green tea but I did not pour a shot, I poured two cap fulls in. Although I only did two cap fulls I immediately felt something as I drank my tea and I was happy that I did not put a whole shot in or drink the ACV undiluted. I've had issues with properly digesting my food ever since I was put on birth control to manage my menstrual cramps, I was hoping the vinegar would help me with that and it did. After putting the ACV in my green tea for a week I felt like it was the natural solution I was looking for to help me not have an upset stomach after eating. I would usually have to drink ginger ale or 7-up to calm my stomach after I finish a meal but the ACV helped me not have to do that. I do think a little apple cider vinegar a day is effective however I strongly encourage anyone who does drink it to dilute it with tea or water. Always put twice as much liquid then vinegar.
