Top 3 Essential Oils For Anxiety
I have anxiety and it brings me down all the time. When my anxiety started getting out of control I had to find ways to manage it. I knew I did not want to take medication, I just simply did not want to be anxious or nervous any longer. One day while I was in an Uber with my mom, I was telling her that I felt as if it was becoming more and more difficult to control my anxiety, the Uber driver chimed in and told me she had anxiety and essential oils had been very helpful for her. She was so kind to give me the bottle of lemongrass she kept in her car and told me everything would be okay. When I got home I decided to research essential oils for anxiety and then I tried them all. Lemongrass, lavender, and chamomile work the best for me because they keep me so calm.
Lemongrass has such a strong fragrance and throughout the day I open the container and smell the aroma and it helps me a great deal. Sometimes when I am really stressed I like the put a small amount of oil behind my ears and on my wrist and I am good to go.
Lavender
Lavender is great in beauty products because of its floral scent and every time I smell it I become calm. I like to add it to my hair products and body care products therefore when I am getting ready for the day I am not as anxious or nervous.
Chamomile
Chamomile is very relaxing and it helps me to sleep because sometimes my anxiety keeps me up and I have a hard time settling down. I like to put it into a diffuser about one hour before I go to bed and it fills my room with the aroma and it helps me to sleep well. However, I do not keep the diffuser in my room while I am sleeping. An alternative would be to dilute the oil with water in a glass spray bottle and lightly spray your pillow for a good night's rest.
